Little Traverse

Roughly 11 inches wide by 20 inches tall. I have taken an old sailboat sail and formed it into this unique shaped canvas, with a nod to the shape of a real sail. 

The scene itself is inspired by Little Traverse Bay. If you’ve ever driven the road from Charlevoix around to Harbor Springs, you know the views , crisp blues, sharp greens, and that endless horizon that could almost be mistaken for the ocean. On nearly every drive, I spot at least one sailboat in the distance, always making the whole scene look like a real life painting.

Acrylic on sailboat sail.  Original marks, dents, creases and stitching from the sail are still visible.
